Available to meet weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly

Hourly coaching rate via Zoom or phone: $150/hour

For in person one-on-one sessions available in Brooklyn & NYC: $200 for the first hour, then $150 for each additional hour

Can include study of poetry and poetics, brainstorming and writing poems, revising/editing, putting together a manuscript, getting poems ready for publication, advice on submitting, or some combination of these, as you need. I have taught creative writing to teens for Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth for a decade and run several Poetry in the Schools Workshops in local schools. My young private poetry students have won Scholastic Writing Awards, The Adroit Prize, Poetry Out Loud Prizes, and Governor Awards.

2-3 pages of feedback, highlighting strengths & weaknesses + suggestions for structural and thematic edits/cuts/additions + line edits on poems

LINE EDITS for SINGLE POEMS

I believe all great poems do these three things — 1) seduce; 2) provoke (thought) and/or evoke (emotion); 3) and perhaps most importantly (and elusively): haunt (meaning it has an intense indelible effect on the reader that stays with them, one that exceeds understanding in the typical sense). My feedback will include line edits, with detailed comments about what is evocative within all the elements of the poem and what isn’t (and why), as well as suggestions, both small and radical, on how to improve the poem.

     SMALL PACKET (5 pages): $200 flat
     LARGE PACKET (10 pages): $400 flat

POETRY WORKSHOPS for PARTIES OR EVENTS

I’ll teach a poem writing workshop at your event for kids or adults; optional to choose your own topic/type of poem.

$450 flat rate for 2-3 hours

TYPEWRITER POEMS for EVENTS

I’ll bring my typewriter & type short poems for your guests based off a topic of their choice.

$250 for the first hour, then $200 for each additional hour

Open to poem commissions for your beloved or special occasions.
